London Convention Centre

London, Ontario

Since 1993, the London Convention Centre has served as London’s premier meeting place for conventions, conferences, and tradeshows at the local, regional, and national levels.   In 2014, the London Convention Centre embarked on a major reprogramming and renovation of the main floor guest spaces, to modernize the facility and better serve their clients.

The London Convention Centre sought to provide clients with greater adaptability to meet their event programming needs.  To achieve this, our firm developed a flexible central space composed of moveable partitions, and surrounded by new and renovated salons, offering various configurations of pre-function and meeting spaces.  The project prioritized bringing daylight to guests through the new central space.  Reception services were updated and finishes were refreshed with a modern feel to showcase regional geographical themes, while also being practical and serviceable.

Hidden from guest view, the back of house was reconfigured and expanded to further elevate the level of customer service at the London Convention Centre.  The back of house renovations including staging and storage spaces, enable staff members to more flexibly serve the increased guest spaces with the highest quality of service.

Finally, the project included new AV, lighting, room controls, and mechanical and electrical infrastructure upgrades.  New digital wayfinding was provided, with digital displays integrated into arrival spaces and the salons.
