Nicholson Sheffield Architects are looking for experienced, enthusiastic, people to join our team. We have an immediate opening for the position of Intern Architect and/or Architectural Technologist.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful applicant should be capable of working in a team environment to coordinate design intent through detailed design development and construction document using the latest version of Revit. The successful applicant is passionate about architecture, and demonstrates excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Required:

  • A professionally accredited Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Architecture, or a professionally accredited Diploma in Architectural Technology.
  • Minimum 2-3 years post-graduate experience is preferred.
  • Registration in the OAA Intern Architect Program (for Intern Architects).
  • Experience with the Ontario Building Code and the regulatory approval process.

Skills:

  • Strong working knowledge of Revit to prepare construction documents.
  • High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability and motivation to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Working knowledge of common building systems and construction detailing.
  • Ability to manage your time, work on multiple projects, and work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Clear and effective oral and written communication skills.
