Village SoHo is a multi-building residential development on the former site of Victoria Hospital in London’s SoHo neighbourhood. Bringing together six independent non-profit housing providers, the project includes over 600 residential units across seven buildings, with a mix of market-rate, affordable, and deeply affordable housing. Nicholson Sheffield Architect led the master plan and is providing full architectural services for five new buildings, alongside the restoration and adaptive reuse of two historic buildings by a partnering firm.
The master plan connects the buildings through a network of pedestrian pathways, landscaped courtyards, and shared outdoor spaces. Human-scaled street frontages, townhouse-like forms, and clearly defined entrances create a welcoming residential environment that responds to the surrounding neighborhood. By prioritizing walkability and shared outdoor spaces, the plan helps transform a long-vacant site into an active residential neighborhood, creating opportunities for residents to gather, connect, and build community.
Nicholson Sheffield Architects is pleased to announce Becky Kernohan as the firm’s newest Associate.
