Nightingale Place is located at 1045 Dundas St in the heart of London, Ontario. Designed for London Affordable Housing Foundation, Nightingale Place is a five story apartment building that features 41 one-bedroom apartments. Nine apartments are either barrier-free, or adaptable to be barrier free for assistive device users. Built on an empty lot on Dundas Street, the building is created to compliment the styles of the building around it, which are one and two story family homes on mature lots. The lot is in a centralized area and near several bus routes and parks. The parking lot, located at the back of the building, has twenty-one spaces and is surrounded by a privacy fence for the benefit of the residents. The buildings most notable feature is the bridge passage underneath the west apartments that vehicles use to enter and exit the parking lot. These apartments feature high ceilings to bring in light to the spaces, most ceilings have a height of three metres. All apartments feature a juliette balcony or outdoor space to facilitate an indoor/outdoor experience. The building also features laundry rooms and a bicycle storage area that has space to hold 32 bicycles to encourage or accommodate a healthy and environmentally friendly lifestyle.
